Elahi takes first in Arkansas

Iowa State’s Kianna Elahi took first in the 400-meter hurdles at the Arkansas Twilight Invitational on Friday. Elahi ran a personal best time of 58.31 seconds.

The Cyclones had two top six finishes in the women’s 100 hurdles. Jenna Caffrey (13.97) was second while Myranda Casterline (14.53) was sixth. Elphas Sang (1:50.22) placed fourth in the 800.

Zach Richards was third in the hammer throw with a toss of 190-80. Josh Koglin (187-30) finished fourth. Mike Zika (168-60) placed third in the discus.

Also, Mallory Henderson (122-10) was third in the javelin.
